Can I use images directly off this site for comps or client presentations?
You are allowed to downloaded images from this site only to evaluate whether you wish to license a high-resolution image in accordance with the licensing Terms and Conditions. You may use downloaded images only in "comps" and client presentations to assist your and/or your client in your evaluation. You may not use a downloaded image in any final materials including but not limited to internal company materials, materials distributed outside of your company, or in any online or other electronic distribution system. You may not modify or alter any image, or remove any visible or electronic watermark from any image. Upon evaluation, if you decide not to license a high-resolution image, you must remove all downloaded images from your computer and any presentation materials. You may not distribute, sublicense or make available for use or distribution any downloaded image. Except for this limited comping and client presentation use, you may not use any image on this website for any purpose whatsoever. Such usage constitutes copyright infringement.

How do I buy an image?
Once you have selected an image, you can e-mail or call Michael Gibbs at 703.502.3400. Be sure to refer to the image number, as well as the name of the image.
How do I pay for an image?
Customers in the United States and Canada will be invoiced at the time of delivery of the image. Terms: payable upon delivery. We may require a purchase order from new clients before invoicing. Individuals and new customers may also pay by credit card. stockillustration.com accepts Visa and MasterCard. We require wire transfers for purchases by customers outside of the United States and Canada.
How do you deliver images?
Images are generally delivered via the internet. Once an image is ordered, you will be provided a link and a password. Simply click the link, enter your password, and you will arrive at the download page, where you can download your image and your invoice.
In some cases [for example, extremely large files, multiple image orders, or interruptions in FTP service] images are delivered by overnight express, on CD. You can provide an account number, or they can be delivered via FedEx for an additional charge.
What are the specs of the artwork?
Most images are 300 dpi or greater (many are 400 dpi). All files for print use are delivered as CMYK files, in TIFF or EPS format, written to CD-R in hybrid format for Macintosh and PC compatability. Files are generally sized at 8.5" x 11".
How are prices determined?
Pricing for rights managed secondary usage of illustration (stock illustration) depends on several factors, including market (editorial, corporate, advertising, etc.), size of image (full page, half page, etc.), placement (cover, inside, etc.) print run, duration of use, geographic distribution, and exclusivity of rights.
What are cookies? Does stockillustration.com use them?
